My very first Takara Petit Blythe! Until now, all I had in this size category were the Littlest Pet Shop Blythes from a few years back. (Though I’m sure I could look that up…) Petit Blythe “Caribbean Jewel” Let’s just go with the more accurate “in the order I photographed them.” I know the last two were the most expensive, but I’m not sure about the prices of the rest. I’ll be posting about the dolls in…um…I was going to say rough order of price, but I’m not sure that’s right.

(I’ve taken the photos - apart from one I should add of another figurine from the same general series that was already in my collection - but it’d make this post too long to add them all here. The figurines I’ll probably post about tomorrow. So, due to the sheer number of things in the Mandarake order, I’m only posting about the dolls today. Further bad news, the Dal I thought would come today did not. Though that’s probably more of an issue in summer than winter…) Further good news, today’s mail brought the other wig I was waiting on. (Because of the MSC in the order, I have to be present to sign for it they can’t leave it on the porch, due to the damage that might be caused to the pressurized components in the can. The bad news is that UPS came in the brief window when I went to lunch with my parents, so I missed the Junky Spot order. The good news is that the packages waiting at the post office were indeed my massive shipment from Mandarake, and Juliet’s new shirt. (Probably because of how badly they loused up the second season of the anime.) I did see a few keychains at the convention, but they weren’t terribly appealing. But I guess it’s not as popular in Japan. You know, there really needs to be more Rayearth merchandise. Though I don’t currently have much else Rayearth I could put in it: I’ve got a plush Mokona somewhere (bought before Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles even existed, so it’s definitely a Rayearth Mokona) and there’s the CLAMP no Kiseki chess pieces, and I could cheat a little and use that Tsubasa Primera figurine… Rather than a gallery for this post, I’ve just made a gallery for Magic Knights Rayearth instead. 😛 (Of course, given what we learned about Mokona at the end of the Rayearth II manga, I’m not sure I’d feel right about winding him up…) He’s a wind-up! How adorable is that? Though I doubt he makes his adorable little puu-puu sounds. Yup, it’s Hikaru’s bestest-ever buddy in Cephiro, Mokona! 😀 (They must really be loving that I discovered them!) I’ll fill it in a little with something related that I also got from Mandarake. The handle of her sword looks about right, too. They got the shape of the eyes pretty well, though. It also nicely(?) shows off how they didn’t really manage to capture the exuberance of the CLAMP expressions.
This is about the best shot of her face I could get inside the box. (Okay, maybe I’m shipping too heavily here…) If I get my hands on Umi, then maybe, but…even then, without Ferio and Lantis and…um…teenage Ascot? it wouldn’t serve much purpose. Anyway, I’d been holding this girl in reserve since her arrival from Mandarake for just such an emergency!Īs with Fuu, I’m not currently planning on opening Hikaru. Not really what I’d hoped to do for “H,” but…sometimes life doesn’t cooperate.
